Studies show Engineering graduates who are having essential skills for employability in software domain is below 20%. There is a major skill gap exists between the industry and Engineering academics in the area of coding skills. The main reason the graduate level students lack coding skills is the academic approach towards programming. In traditional academic system Programming is considered as yet another subject. Students treat learning programming with the perception of attending exams. This combined with the perception that programming is for nerds make it difficult for students to learn and enjoy programming.
This course is designed to address this skills gap issue. The course is organised in a structured format focusing on classroom activities and interactive games to accelerate and improve the efficiency of teaching learning process. Staring from developing foundation skills for coding the approach focus on design thinking and agile perspective of Software design.
